We first did the .75 mile hike to the falls. It was a cinch..the hike, that is. The falls are gorgeous!!! I had never been to Pedernales Falls before, and am wondering why I had never found this little gem in the hill country.

We hung out at the falls, ate our Subway sandwiches, and then decided to explore the rock climbing options. And there are some bouldering problems right by the river! Well, I didn't do anything too hard. We don't have a crash pad yet, so I just tried to do stuff that was challenging, yet routes that I would not fall off of. It was fun. So many huecos in the limestone!

After climbing, we headed on to the Wolf Mountain trail and hiked about 8.25 miles. It was a good hike. Total elevation gain of 675 feet. Passed by a few creeks and a spring.
