Man, I took a Tavist-D last night, and I think it completely knocked me out. Still drowsy this morning! Today is going to be a struggle to get through the work day. Don't quite know how on earth I made the commute, but I'm here now, so gotta get through the day! I feel like I'm in a cloud or something like that! TGIF!

Well, now it's 1:44pm and I want to tell the whole world to fuck off!!! I guess I'll just do it here. Everyone around me right now, fuck off! Everyone who calls, fuck off! Everyone who emails, fuck off!

I hate my fucking job. I really really hate it!!! So here we go...gripe of the day. One of my coworkers gets a "free day" to catch up on his work because he's such a slacker. I do probably about 5 times more work than he does, and I'm able to keep on top of everything just fine...yet he gets a free day?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? shit, pisses me off. Oh, and this is not the first free day he's gotten. He's had other days to "catch up"..gee, more work for me.

And now I have to fucking field calls for him? Well, this is what happened...a client called for him, and he was like, I don't have an answer, I can't talk to him now. So I tell the client that he stepped away from his desk. The client gets all fucking pissed off at me, says that this is the second time that he's called for him, and he's "stepped away from his desk", and that the client has not gotten a call back from him. So of course, I get all the heat, and have to do "damage control" and say, I will let him know that this is urgent, blah blah blah. Then I get more stupid questions, which should have been for my coworker...gee..*more* work for me!!!

Grrrrrrr

It sucks so bad...

So tired today!!! I went to bed so late last night.

I had class yesterday, which was fun. We got to learn how to use the vacuum machine to invest our wax molds. I didn't invest my mold because class was almost over, so I'll do it first thing on Wednesday. Then on Wednesday, we're going to learn how to cast our piece. Right now, we're working on our hollowed dome ring. It's frikkin huge, but it's the project that was required of me! I can't wait till we can do our own thing.

Well, I've also learned that I'm not very good at stonesetting! It was my first - 4 prong setting. A lot tougher than it looks. I had to have my teacher do some damage control on mine! But it's okay now...

I can't wait till I get my torch (coming in the mail!) and my tanks set up. Then I can work from home, and do some more fabrication. There's only so much I can do in class! It's only projects, projects, projects! I've got tons of ideas, but no time/equipment to make them!

I've learned that I really like making rings. I want to make some more bands and do some gypsy settings in them. I also want to try to make a gold band, and set a few (small) gypsy set diamonds in it. I also need to try to make a chain. I haven't tried that yet...

Allergies. When will they go away? Well, I think I've survived the worst of the cedar season. Of course now the mold count is way high. Well, I definitely can't wait till all the winter allergies are gone! I miss being able to taste and smell food!

Well, this is my first post! New to the blogging thing, but I thought I would give it a try. :)

So where should I start...well, I've come to a decision as of yesterday...that I'm seriously thinking of quitting my job in July, take a few weeks off to a month off, and travel - where, I don't know - and then go back to school during the day. I've been trying to think of places that I could go - from mid July to mid August, that I could afford. Of course right now, I don't have a budget for the trip. I just feel that I rarely get the opportunity to have more than 2 weeks off at a time...so why not! Plus, when I'm old and retired, I won't be as adventurous, so I might as well do it now.

Some ideas are...Europe (Spain? Switzerland? Italy?), Peru to do the Inca Trail, Costa Rica, Canada, Alaska...just a few thoughts.
